Sets a cookie that announces to Google that consent has been given to their privacy guidelines, thus preventing the consent popup
Google's privacy content popup, when agreed to, sets a "CONSENT" cookie. This minimal script preemptively sets that cookie, preventing the popup from ever appearing.
Confirmed working as of 2021/04/03.
... at least on Google's main search websites. Google did not (yet) change all of their websites to their "new" method of setting a "CONSENT" cookie. Some sites (like Google Translate or Youtube) still use the "old" method of redirecting to or iframe-embedding consent.google.com. This script will not work with these sites, and I have no intention to make it work with these sites because I expect Google to gradually switch over to the new cookie method. For those sites, and for now, please see another userscript that works fine in conjunction with mine:
