Yes, the script skips over URLs that do not not start with http or match certain other patterns (lines 491-494). It then extracts the relevant parts of the URL by looking for http in the r###lt link (lines 495-502).
Those lines definitely need to be modified to match ftp:// links as well. Possibly some other lines would also need to be modified.
In preliminary testing, changing
ahref.indexOf("http")
to
ahref.search(/http|ftp/i)
on lines 491 and 495 solves it. However, I need to use it for several days to be confident. If you want to try that, you can make the edits on your installed copy of the script.
I assume that worked. It is included in today's 2.1.1 update.
Unable to block ftp address

The script does not provide a block button for the address of the ftp protocol.
Please try searching for the keyword "ftp://ftp" to view it.
