Currently your style shifts the search input to the left by a few pixels, which breaks the site's "smart" behavior:

1. open https://www.google.com/search?q=test
2. double-click test in the input field
3. observe that the word isn't selected and a "zoom lens" icon flickers on the left

The problem is caused by this:

[role="search"] > * > [jsaction] {padding-left: unset;}
